The Port Local Lager is light gold in colour, with a fluffy head that lingers until the last drop; leaving pretty lacing down the glass. It's nose shows subtle hints of allspice, white pepper and fruit thanks to a combination of German hops and a clean fermenting yeast. On the palate this lager is dry and crisp, with a touch of bready, malt sweetness and a gentle bitterness. The Port Local will be at home wherever beers are poured. Enjoy cold and fresh.
Originally brewed as a collaboration with the Port Admiral hotel in Port Adelaide, Port Local was released nationally in February of 2019. A cold, refreshing lager will always be at the heart of Australiaʼs beer drinking culture. Born in our new home at Port Adelaide, this beer is brewed according to traditional German techniques with the highest quality natural ingredients. 42 days in tank means that the subtle flavours and aromas have time to fully integrate, yeast can settle and the clarity develops.
